Eachday

You asked for it. Here's a mini-manifesto on meaningfulness.

Eachday is more meaningful than all those album-based services because … your life is not a bunch of albums! Albums are useful as a secondary way to organize things (Eachday calls them "Collections"), but as a primary format they provide no meaning or perspective over time. Albums are disconnected lumps. An Eachday account is a singular, contextual collection of memories. When you are looking back over your life years from now, a big pile of albums on the web is, well, just a big pile of albums.

Eachday is more meaningful than other social-sharing services because … while some of your photos and videos may be interesting to a wider audience, most of your memories are personal: they should only be seen by you, friends and family. Eachday offers sophisticated privacy controls, allowing you to protect your entire account, or an individual day, or even a single memory. But, the entirety of your memories includes some things that deserve that social love from say, Flickr or YouTube. Eachday allows you to publish your memories to those wider social spheres, or a personal blog, directly from your account. The result: all of your memories, both private and public, have a central hub, preserved within a fabric that grows in meaning each time you add a memory.

Eachday is different than anything else, and was designed to address big questions like "What will an entire collection of memories look like 10, 20, 50 or more years from now?" and "If a collection of memories was passed from one generation to the next, what should that collection look like?".
